MEN OF VALOR

A PRAYING MAN IS A PURPOSE DRIVEN MAN
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7
Man was created, in essence, to glorify God. At the Hebron Avenue church of Christ, classes, workshops, and various events are held that facilitate our glorification of the Creator of the world.
No matter your station in life, single or married, parent or not, young or young @ heart, you will benefit from participating in the classes and fellowship built into the Men’s ministry events at HACC.

MEN’S WORKSHOPS
Classes are offered to the men of this congregation who are interested in functioning as participants in the order of service. So that HACC’s weekly worship services proceed decently and orderly, participants require training. This is particularly beneficial for young boys, new converts, and those transferring to HACC from sister congregations. Your participation in the order of service will enhance your worship and edify the rest of the congregation.

The brothers of Hebron Avenue, along with their invited family and friends, convene annually to learn from speakers from all over the brotherhood who challenge the listeners to grow and become better men of God. Various aspects of manhood: family leadership, parenting, evangelism, benevolence, and much more are presented and discussed at these beneficial gatherings.

Eggs & bacon, sausage & pancakes, juice & coffee. All this and more await the gentlemen who come out early on a Saturday morning to participate in the Men’s Breakfast. Although the food and fellowship are big draws, the discussions regarding goals, accomplishments, congregational needs, and aspirations are the main focus for these gatherings. The HACC leadership uses this venue to present plans and receive feedback from the men who care about the direction forward for HACC.

ADDICTION SUPPORT GROUP
The Addictions Support Group is for those suffering from the challenges of addiction including alcoholism, drug addictions, sex addiction, gambling addiction and other. It seems to be an almost universal truth that before things can get better; they have to get worse and in some cases a lot worse. When someone “hits the bottom” and wants to reach out for help, this group is committed to being there. Because addiction is progressive in nature, there comes a point when even the most addicted person decides that there just might be a problem. Addiction does not stay in one place. It doesn’t hit a certain stage and then level off. It keeps deepening, affecting each of us physically, mentally, morally and spiritually. The Addiction Support Group is committed to providing help and support.
